MY WORK ON HOMO FABER
I played a key role in the curatorial development and realization of Homo Faber 2024, contributing to the conceptual and research foundation for an internationally acclaimed biennial showcasing contemporary craftsmanship across 10 themed exhibition spaces.
Acted as the main contact and coordinator for the 6-person sourcing team, working closely with the Head of Sourcing to align priorities, track progress and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Led targeted research and sourcing of artisans, designers and ateliers from across the world, identifying and selecting high-quality craft objects that enriched the exhibition’s global narrative and diversity.
Coordinated participation of 100+ artisans, directly requesting and securing objects, managing their involvement, and ensuring smooth collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Served as primary liaison between the sourcing team and other cross-functional teams, including scenography, communications, shipping and logistics.
Managed comprehensive quality control for over 1,000 objects, including:
Creating detailed reports on object quality, condition and arrival status
Monitoring shipping progress and resolving discrepancies
Tracking arrivals and identifying missing items to ensure exhibition completeness
Provided hands-on on-site support during final installation, contributing to last-minute scenography adjustments and helping bring the vision to life for public opening.
Handled critical administrative support for international artisans, drafting and managing official invitation letters to facilitate visa processes and enable their participation.
